The Flutter Express offers a convenient, round-trip 56-passenger motor coach bus service, equipped with an onboard lavatory, that departs from Albany and Rensselaer, NY to both Boston and New York City on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We provide comfortable, stress-free, and affordable transportation for healthcare seekers, their family members, companions, and supportive community.

Riders traveling for healthcare appointments may purchase a “Healthcare Seeker” ticket at a flat rate of $79.00. We also partner with local nonprofits to offer discounted or free rides. Visit our resources & collaborators page to see if you qualify.

New York City Service
Departs from Yankee Trails in Rensselaer at 6:00 a.m., with additional pick-up stops at 6:30 a.m. in Albany and 7:15 a.m. in Catskill, traveling directly to Manhattan’s Upper East Side in the Lenox Hill neighborhood. The bus stops along York Avenue, first at East 70th Street, in front of NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Hospital for Special Surgery, and then at East 68th Street, directly in front of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s main hospital. Shuttle service is available to additional MSK locations, and the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. These stops are also conveniently located near many other specialized adult and pediatric care centers in the area.

Boston Service
Departs from Albany at 6:30 a.m. and Yankee Trails in Rensselaer at 7:00 a.m., traveling directly to Brookline Avenue & Jimmy Fund Way in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, right in front of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Yawkey Center for Cancer Care and near Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The route continues along Brookline Avenue with an additional stop in front of Boston Children’s Hospital, serving riders accessing care at many of the nation’s top-tier medical institutions, including the Joslin Diabetes Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
