The Flutter Express offers a convenient, round-trip transportation service that departs from Albany and Rensselaer, NY to both Boston and New York City on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We provide comfortable, stress-free, and affordable transportation for people of all ages to reach their destinations near top healthcare facilities, along with their family members, companions, and supportive community. To ensure availability, we recommend booking your tickets in advance.

Riders traveling for healthcare appointments may purchase “Healthcare Seeker” tickets at a flat rate of $79.00, and companions, caregivers, and family members may purchase “Companion” tickets at a flat rate of $85.00. These tickets are readily available on our website and are made possible through the support of Flutter Club, inc., thanks to generous corporate sponsors and community donations. New York City Service
Departs from East Greenbush (Defreestville CDTA Park & Ride) at 6:00 a.m., with additional pick-up stops at 6:30 a.m. in Albany (Crossgates Mall) and 7:15 a.m. in Catskill (NYS Thruway, Exit 21), traveling directly to Manhattan’s Upper East Side in the Lenox Hill neighborhood. The Flutter Express stops along York Avenue, first at East 70th Street, near NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Hospital for Special Surgery, and then at East 68th Street, near Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s main hospital, MSK Kids, and free shuttle service to all MSK locations. Free shuttle service is also available to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge.

For riders traveling to NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center, The Mount Sinai Hospital, The New York Proton Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, NYU Langone, or other New York City healthcare centers: Please contact us and indicate your destination in the Special Notes section when booking your ticket. This helps The Flutter Express coordinate, and we may be able to provide direct drop-off near these facilities.

Boston Service
Departs from Albany (Crossgates Mall) at 6:30 a.m. and East Greenbush (Defreestville CDTA Park & Ride) at 7:00 a.m., traveling directly to Brookline Avenue & Jimmy Fund Way in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, near Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Yawkey Center for Cancer Care, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the Joslin Diabetes Center. The route continues along Brookline Avenue with an additional stop near Boston Children’s Hospital.

For riders traveling to Mass General Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Kids, & other Boston healthcare centers: Please contact us and indicate your destination in the Special Notes section when booking your ticket. This helps The Flutter Express coordinate, and we may be able to provide direct drop-off near these facilities.

Each roundtrip ticket to both Boston & NYC includes:

On your return from New York City or Boston, simply sit back, relax, and rest on your way home.

To remain sustainable and accountable, The Flutter Express operates a range of vehicles based on passenger bookings, from 7–8 passenger vans to 15-56-passenger buses. Our service runs even if only one passenger is traveling.
