The Flutter Express offers a convenient, round-trip transportation service that departs from Albany and Rensselaer, NY to both Boston and New York City on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We provide comfortable, stress-free, and affordable transportation for people of all ages to reach their destinations near top healthcare facilities, along with their family members, companions, and supportive community. To ensure availability, we recommend booking your tickets in advance.

Riders traveling for healthcare appointments may purchase “Healthcare Seeker” tickets at a flat rate of $79.00, and companions, caregivers, and family members may purchase “Companion” tickets at a flat rate of $85.00. New York City Service
Departs from Yankee Trails in Rensselaer at 6:00 a.m., with additional pick-up stops at 6:30 a.m. in Albany and 7:15 a.m. in Catskill, traveling directly to Manhattan’s Upper East Side in the Lenox Hill neighborhood. The bus stops along York Avenue, first at East 70th Street, near NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Hospital for Special Surgery, and then at East 68th Street, near Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s main hospital & MSK Kids. Free shuttle service is available to additional MSK locations, and the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. For riders traveling to NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center (622 W. 168th St., NYC), Mount Sinai Hospital (1468 Madison Ave., NYC), or The New York Proton Center (225 E 126th St., NYC): Please contact us and indicate your destination in the Special Notes section when booking your ticket. This helps The Flutter Express coordinate, and provide direct drop-off near these facilities.

Boston Service
Departs from Albany at 6:30 a.m. and Yankee Trails in Rensselaer at 7:00 a.m., traveling directly to Brookline Avenue & Jimmy Fund Way in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, near Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Yawkey Center for Cancer Care and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The route continues along Brookline Avenue with an additional stop near Boston Children’s Hospital, serving riders accessing care at many of the nation’s top-tier medical institutions, including the Joslin Diabetes Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Each roundtrip ticket to both Boston & NYC includes:

• One Flutter Kit to help make the journey more comfortable

On your return from New York City or Boston, enjoy a complimentary movie or game, or simply sit back, relax, and rest on your way home.

To keep The Flutter Express sustainable and available, we welcome everyone who values kindness and community to ride with us. For every ten (10) community members who ride The Flutter Express on a roundtrip to Boston or NYC, we’re able to donate one free round trip ride to someone who purchased a “Healthcare Seeker” ticket, along with a “Companion” ticket.
